Job Title: Application Developer – Generalist (Lead)

Location: McLean, VA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week)

Duration: 12 Months (Contract)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Application Developer – Generalist (Lead) to drive the design and development of modern, scalable applications with a strong focus on Full Stack Development and Generative AI solutions. This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can work across frontend, backend, cloud, and AI ecosystems to deliver high-impact solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end full stack application development using modern technologies
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable applications using Vue.js, Node.js, and Python
• Integrate and fine-tune Large Language Models (LLMs) within enterprise applications
• Build and optimize Generative AI-driven solutions using modern frameworks and tools
• Develop and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs for AI and data services
• Architect and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS (or Azure/Google Cloud Platform)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architecture, design patterns, and best practices
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and ensure seamless automated deployments
• Ensure system performance, scalability, reliability, and observability
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in application development
• Strong Full Stack Development experience:
• Frontend: Vue.js
• Backend: Node.js, Python
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI frameworks and ecosystems
• Proven experience working with and integrating Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Experience building scalable APIs (REST and/or GraphQL)
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS):
• AWS Lambda
• AWS RDS
• AWS Fargate
• AWS S3
• Familiarity with data streaming and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka)
• Experience with DevOps tools and practices:
• CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong experience with Relational Databases (RDBMS):
• PostgreSQL
• MySQL / Amazon RDS (MySQL/Aurora)
