Optical Network Engineer

TEKsystems is partnering with a client in Seattle, WA to hire a Network Optical Engineer with a strong focus on DWDM technologies and hands-on experience working within various DWDM UIs. This role centers on operating and scaling large optical networks, requiring deep familiarity with optical components and the ability to troubleshoot issues at the physical layer. Candidates must bring strong Linux skills and be comfortable using command-line tooling to diagnose and resolve network problems. The position also emphasizes automation, including the ability to read or write Python and contribute to automating configuration deployment, metrics collection, and network reliability tasks. Ideal engineers will combine programming awareness, DWDM proficiency, and proactive problem-solving to support a highly scalable optical infrastructure.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr.
