We are looking for a Administrative Coordinator for our client in Somerville, MA
Job Title: Administrative Coordinator
Job Location: Somerville, MA
Job Type: Contract
Job Description:
Pay Range: $20hr - $25hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous front desk or customer service experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience with patient scheduling using EPIC.
  • Experience collecting co-payments.
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills.
Experience:
  • Minimum two years of medical office experience preferred.
  • Experience working with surgeons and managing clinical scheduling preferred.
  • Experience with referral management and insurance verification preferred.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform receptionist and clerical duties to support the department.
  • Schedule patient appointments and coordinate clinical calendars.
  • Answer telephone calls promptly, gather screening information, and manage messages.
  • Retrieve voicemail messages, return calls, and forward messages as needed.
  • Manage referrals and review health insurance information.
  • Collect co-payments and support front desk financial processes.
  • Organize and maintain patient records, logs, and tracking systems while ensuring confidentiality.
  • Coordinate onboarding and scheduling for new patients.
  • Assist with special projects and other assigned administrative tasks.
Should Have:
  • Associate s degree preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a high-volume outpatient setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach.
  • Positive attitude, empathy, and commitment to quality service.
Skills:
  • Front desk operations in healthcare.
  • EPIC scheduling and documentation.
  • Patient communication and customer service.
  • Referral and insurance coordination.
  • Record management and confidentiality compliance.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
