Role Overview:
Our client is seeking a high-impact Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the delivery and architectural integrity of our large-scale education platforms. In this role, you will be the primary stakeholder for our AWS ecosystem, managing complex multi-environment stacks and driving the evolution of our CI/CD maturity. You will be responsible for ensuring 24/7 reliability through robust Disaster Recovery strategies and cost-optimized, automated infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Professional: Active AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional highly preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
Data Infrastructure: Hands-on experience managing Data Lake infrastructure and automating ETL/data job deployments using Python and AWS Lambda.
Advanced Networking: Deep understanding of VPC peering, Transit Gateways, and complex DNS configurations across multi-region deployments.
Mentorship: Proven track record of establishing coding standards and shared modules that have been adopted by wider engineering teams.
Technical Requirements
Cloud: Expert-level AWS (ECS, Lambda, CloudFront, S3, EKS, IAM, Route53).
IaC / Automation: Proficiency in AWS CDK (Python), CloudFormation, and Terraform.
CI/CD: Advanced GitLab CI/CD experience (shared templates, runner fleet management).
Containers: Strong experience with Docker and container orchestration (ECS/EKS).
Development: Strong scripting skills in Python and familiarity with Node.js environments.
Disaster Recovery: Proven track record of implementing multi-region failover strategies.
