We are looking for a Full Stack / DevOps Engineer to join the IT team. This individual will play a key role in designing, building, deploying, and supporting the applications and infrastructure that are core to the business. The role combines hands-on application development with DevOps ownership, ensuring solutions are built efficiently and released reliably.
This is a practical, delivery-focused position. The right candidate is comfortable working across the stack, enjoys solving complex problems, and understands that strong automation and operational discipline are just as important as writing good code. You should be confident working in an Agile environment and collaborating with both technical and business stakeholders.
Work Arrangement: This is a hybrid position near West Chester, PA, with an expectation of three days onsite per week.
Occasional after-hours support may be required for production releases or critical incidents.
Technical Skills
· Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Azure DevOps
· Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible
· Front-end development experience with Angular, Vue or Nuxt
· Back-end experience building and consuming REST APIs
· Solid working knowledge of SQL Server and relational databases
· proficiency with unit testing, mocking frameworks, and test-driven development
· experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
· Strong debugging skills and a clear understanding of secure coding practices
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Works with stakeholders to understand requirements and solve complex problems with the appropriate solution.
Delivers quality software through estimation of tasks, design and implementation of efficient/secure code, completion of unit tests/code reviews.
Supports the development team by debugging/fixing issues, facilitating code promotion through environments, and establishing streamlined processes for software delivery.
Builds, maintains, and extends DevOps technology solutions to assist developers.
Manages troubleshooting, support, and resolution of production issues related to bespoke code or core infrastructure.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
· At least 4 years of experience in full-stack software development
· 3+ years working with DevOps practices and supporting production systems
· Experience deploying and supporting applications in cloud environments (Azure preferred)
Application Development
· Partner with business and IT stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into thoughtful technical solutions
· Design and build full-stack applications, contributing to both front-end and back-end components
· Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and work with relational databases to support business processes
· Write clean, secure, and maintainable code supported by appropriate testing and peer review
· Provide accurate task estimates and meet agreed delivery timelines
DevOps & Release Management
· Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support consistent and reliable deployments
· Manage code promotion across development, test, and production environments
· Implement and maintain automation for infrastructure and configuration management
· Identify opportunities to streamline build, deployment, and release processes to improve team efficiency
Production Support & Reliability
· Investigate and resolve application and infrastructure issues in production
· Perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable fixes
· Monitor performance and availability to ensure stable, secure systems
· Support occasional after-hours releases or incident response when required
Team Collaboration
· Participate in Scrum or Kanban ceremonies, including planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
· Work closely with development, QA, infrastructure, and business partners
· Contribute ideas that improve processes, quality, and overall team performance
