OverviewRemote Business Analyst supporting the Office of Technology Services (OTS) on modernization and migration efforts. This role partners with stakeholders to elicit and document business processes and system requirements, translate them into user stories/functional requirements, and keep a well-prioritized product backlog. The BA will work in an Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environment, participate in core Scrum ceremonies, and support design/dev/testing to ensure solutions align with business goals. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of BA experience, 2+ years working Agile, strong requirements documentation skills (BRDs/FRDs/workflows), and excellent communication.
Responsibilities
- Utilize Agile methodologies to analyze, document, and deliver business functions and requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and management to identify, define, and document business needs, processes, and system requirements.
- Analyze the integration of business processes with technology solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Perform and facilitate business and technical analysis to support application design, development, and implementation.
- Identify and document business processes within legacy systems to support modernization and migration efforts.
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with project objectives and stakeholder expectations.
- Create user stories and functional/technical requirements, supporting development and testing teams.
- Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of experience in Business Analysis, including eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business processes, functions, and requirements.
- 2+ years of experience working in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), including writing user stories and managing a well-prioritized product backlog.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, effectively collaborating with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Experience creating detailed requirements documentation for complex projects, including BRDs, FRDs, and process workflows.
