Position Overview

Project Health Assessment Consultant to evaluate the health, performance, and overall effectiveness of complex IT projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience conducting independent project health assessments, identifying risks, evaluating project governance, and providing actionable recommendations to improve project outcomes. This role requires a strong understanding of project management best practices, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and organizational governance across large-scale technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive Project Health Assessments for complex IT projects to evaluate project status, governance, execution, and delivery readiness.
• Assess project planning, scheduling, scope, budget, resources, risks, issues, and stakeholder engagement.
• Identify project risks, gaps, and potential delivery challenges, and provide prioritized recommendations for remediation.
• Evaluate project management processes, governance frameworks, and organizational readiness.
• Develop detailed assessment reports outlining findings, observations, strengths, weaknesses, and recommended corrective actions.
• Prepare executive-level presentations and communicate assessment results to project sponsors and leadership.
• Review project documentation, schedules, budgets, status reports, and governance artifacts.
• Conduct interviews and workshops with project teams, business stakeholders, and leadership.
• Produce ranked lists of critical concerns based on project impact and risk.
• Recommend best practices to improve project performance, governance, and delivery success.
• Support organizations in implementing process improvements based on assessment findings.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience conducting Project Health Assessments or comparable IT project evaluations within the past 5–7 years.
• Experience assessing large-scale, enterprise IT initiatives across multiple industries.
• Knowledge of project governance, project management methodologies, and organizational change management.
• Strong expertise in project planning, risk management, issue management, quality assurance, and stakeholder communications.
• Ability to analyze complex project environments and identify delivery risks and improvement opportunities.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience preparing executive-level assessment reports and recommendations.
• Ability to facilitate interviews, workshops, and project review sessions with technical and business stakeholders.
