Senior DCS System Test Engineer

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $127,000 - $152,400 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior DCS System Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have solid experience with industrial process automation and a strong background in test engineering of a distributed system. As part of our dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our next-generation DCS system.

What will you do?

• Design and execute test plans and test cases for the Next Generation DCS system.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to ensure efficient and comprehensive test coverage.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and troubleshoot system issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Utilize DCS domain expertise to validate system-wide Non-Functional Requirements such as performance, stability, and scalability.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies, including CI/CD.

What skills and capabilities will make you successful?

• Experience in industrial automation, control systems, or related fields.
• Familiarity with DCS system architectures and hybrid distributed control methodologies.
• In-depth domain knowledge and hands-on experience with Schneider DCS and M580 PLC systems, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of industry standards such as IEC 61449, IEC 61131, OPC-UA, and others as applicable.
• Experience in developing CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven experience in test automation with a strong background in Robot Framework, Test Complete, and Selenium, or equivalent toolsets.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Solid experience working in the role of a Software Test Engineer.
• Experience with testing a distributed system.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Good understanding of ethernet networking.
