Job Overview: This position will focus on supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of a new Child Welfare System, specifically assisting with data conversion activities from legacy systems and counties to the new Salesforce platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn and understand a broad range of DHHS's data resources and their business applications.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives across the program.
  • Recognize and adopt best practices in data transformation: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.
  • Design and support a platform providing secured access to large datasets.
  • Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards.
  • Provide advanced data support to the data engineering and ETL teams.
  • Collaborate with technical support teams and business owners to ensure seamless operations.
  • Develop processes to enhance the quality and efficiency of quality control checks.
  • Design, build data pipelines, automate tasks, and work with large datasets.
  • Tune application and query performance using SQL profiling tools.
  • Stay up to date with advancements in big data technologies and scale data architecture using Azure, AWS, or public cloud tools.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Strong experience in data engineering, data analysis, and ETL processes.
  • Expertise in SQL, data modeling, and working with large datasets.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
  • Experience in designing and maintaining data pipelines, dashboards, and reports.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present to executive teams and business stakeholders.
  • Experience with data quality improvement and error resolution.
