We are seeking a seasoned cybersecurity professional to lead the execution and continuous improvement of technical security capabilities across security operations and engineering. This role serves as the primary technical leader for day-to-day cyber defense, ensuring threats are detected, investigated, contained, and learned from, while platforms, controls, and automation are designed, operated, and matured effectively.
The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with operational leadership, translating cybersecurity strategy into reliable, scalable execution. This position operates at the intersection of security operations, engineering, and infrastructure, ensuring security capabilities are resilient, measurable, and aligned to business priorities.
ResponsibilitiesSecurity Engineering & Operations Leadership- Provide technical and operational leadership across security operations and engineering functions.
- Lead daily security operations including monitoring, alert triage, incident response, and escalation.
- Oversee engineering and reliability of core security platforms (SIEM, EDR, SOAR, vulnerability management, firewalls, cloud security, identity tools).
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, cloud, and DevOps teams to embed security into workflows.
- Maintain operational discipline including shift coverage, on-call readiness, and incident communications.
Incident Response, Detection & Continuous Improvement- Partner with internal teams and external providers to investigate, contain, and remediate incidents.
- Ensure incidents are documented, lessons learned captured, and corrective actions tracked.
- Drive continuous improvement of detection, response, and automation capabilities.
- Oversee vulnerability identification and remediation coordination.
- Conduct Red/Blue team exercises and incident response tabletop drills.
- Evolve tooling and processes to address emerging threats.
Team Development & Documentation- Mentor and coach security operations and engineering team members.
- Support training and skill development on tools, processes, and emerging threats.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of processes, procedures, and incidents.
- Promote knowledge sharing, operational consistency, and accountability.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- Expert-level cybersecurity certification (CISSP, CCSP, CASP, OSCP, or equivalent).
- 10+ years of technical cybersecurity experience.
- 5+ years working in LAN/WAN/SD-WAN environments.
- 3+ years of experience with forensic tools, investigations, and incident response.
Preferred Qualifications- Strong leadership in both technical and operational contexts.
- Proven ability to translate security strategy into scalable execution.
- Experience collaborating across infrastructure, cloud, and DevOps teams.
