Senior QA Automation Analyst – Healthcare and Government experience required

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Automation Analyst with 8+ years of experience in both manual and automation testing within an Agile environment. This role requires strong expertise in test planning, automation scripting, API testing, SQL, and CI/CD pipelines.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated and manual test scripts, validating system functionality, and ensuring software quality throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). The consultant will collaborate closely with scrum teams, developers, and business stakeholders to execute testing strategies and deliver high-quality releases.
Experience working with Health and Human Services (HHS) agencies or healthcare systems is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and maintain automation and manual test scripts for application testing
· Design and execute test plans and detailed test cases aligned with business requirements
· Perform multiple types of testing including unit, integration, regression, smoke, system, UAT, performance, and stress testing
· Investigate and diagnose quality issues and system defects and recommend corrective actions
· Analyze application logs, databases, and system data to identify quality concerns and improvements
· Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, SOAPUI, JMeter, or similar platforms
· Write and execute SQL queries to validate data and perform CRUD operations
· Utilize Xray test case management tool for test case creation, tracking, and execution
· Manage defect tracking and reporting using Jira and maintain organized issue documentation
· Create and maintain requirements traceability matrices (RTM)
· Develop and review performance testing scripts and analyze results
· Prepare UAT test plans and test cases, coordinate UAT schedules, and support test readiness activities
· Communicate testing progress and risks to project stakeholders
· Work closely with Agile scrum teams to ensure high-quality software releases
· Support development teams in development, testing, and UAT environments as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications
· 8+ years of experience in QA testing including manual and automation testing
· 8+ years of experience creating and executing test plans and test cases
· Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies
· 8+ years of experience using Xray Test Case Management Tool
· 8+ years of experience writing SQL queries for data validation and CRUD operations
· 8+ years of experience working with CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing processes
· 8+ years of experience performing API testing using tools such as Postman, SOAPUI, or JMeter
· 8+ years of experience with automation testing using UFT
· Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using Jira and collaboration tools
· Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications (Plusses)
· Experience working with Texas Health and Human Services (HHS) agencies
· Experience in Healthcare QA or healthcare application testing
· Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
· Experience supporting government or public sector technology projects
