Description
Our client is seeking a dedicated and self-motivated IT Support Contractor to provide on-site technical support and serve as an IT liaison within correctional medical clinics located in Dallas, Texas . This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on technical work across multiple locations and prefer a dynamic work environment over a traditional desk job. Veterans transitioning from military service are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support for desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and other hardware.
Troubleshoot and resolve local network and broadband connectivity issues.
Perform cable installations for network, telephone, and video systems.
Collaborate with vendors to implement and support new technologies within the facilities.
Maintain and deploy system images in accordance with departmental standards.
Assist staff with software and hardware functionality.
Monitor and report on desktop, server, and network performance to senior technicians and management.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and reporting structures.
Technical Skills & Tools:
Remote desktop tools (e.g., VNC)
Microsoft Active Directory & Group Policy Objects
Windows Server administration
Networking technologies: T1, Fiber Optics, Ethernet switches, Cisco routers
Wireless access point configuration and support
Symantec Ghost for imaging and deployment
Software deployment and terminal emulation tools
Support for laser and desk jet printers, scanners
Experience with electronic time capture systems
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
Enjoys traveling between multiple sites and working in varied environments.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Prior experience in IT support, especially in healthcare or correctional settings, is a plus.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
