Vaco is actively seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer, Java / AWS to support our client’s continued growth in Memphis. This is a long-term consulting / contract-to-hire opportunity to join a highly respected organization that is a proven leader in their field.


Position Overview

The Senior Software Engineer will utilize expertise in full-stack Java development and modern cloud infrastructure to design and deliver analytical solutions that span both on-premises environments and Amazon Web Services (AWS) ecosystems.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Support architecture, coding, testing, and implementation of complex software systems with full life-cycle ownership.
  • Build and deploy components for advanced analytical workflows and integrate them with enterprise production systems.
  • Rapidly design and implement full-stack prototypes and cloud-based analytical workflows in support of client initiatives.
  • Create intuitive user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue) and develop RESTful services to power production systems.
  • Evaluate, optimize, and manage AWS infrastructure for scalability, security, cost efficiency, and high availability.
  • Resolve system-level challenges requiring in-depth analysis and application of engineering best practices.
  • Lead CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and automation efforts across diverse technology stacks.
  • Train and guide team members, sharing cloud, software, and DevSecOps expertise across projects and clients.

Skillsets & Qualifications:
  • Proven expertise in Java development with strong full-stack capabilities.
  • Hands-on experience with React or other major JavaScript frameworks.
  • Proficiency with AWS cloud technologies (EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, API Gateway, VPC).
  • Strong knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JSON) and RESTful API development.
  • Experience deploying and managing Kafka messaging services.
  • Ability to design, build, and maintain systems for data collection, processing, and analytics.
  • Agile/Scrum team experience with ability to adapt to evolving requirements.
  • Experience with scripting in Linux (bash) preferred.
  • Experience with Elastic Beanstalk and API development on AWS preferred.
  • Background in relational and NoSQL database management preferred.

  • Target W2 Compensation Range: $60 - $70 per hour, based on skills and experience
