SGA is seeking a Treasury Resolution Planning Consultant for a long-term Right to Hire Contractor assignment with one of our premier financial services clients in lower Manhattan, New York, NY. Hybrid: 2-3 days/week onsite.
This role will support Treasury-led Resolution Planning initiatives within the U.S. International Money Markets & Funding organization. The consultant will work at the intersection of Treasury, Finance, Risk, Technology, and Regulatory Compliance, helping to build resolution liquidity capabilities, strengthen governance frameworks, enhance data quality, and support regulator-facing deliverables. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in Resolution Planning (RRP), liquidity analytics, data governance, and regulatory documentation within a banking environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain resolution liquidity projections aligned with balance sheet and financial forecasts.
- Define, document, and analyze resolution liquidity stress assumptions including runoff, funding, and asset monetization scenarios.
- Support liquidity adequacy assessments and execution planning under resolution scenarios.
- Translate resolution strategies into executable business rules, analytical models, and funding frameworks.
- Support development and enhancement of resolution execution playbooks, timelines, and operational dependencies.
- Design and document governance frameworks supporting resolution execution.
- Establish and maintain key risk indicators, escalation triggers, decision points, and control processes.
- Map resolution processes to control frameworks including ownership, attestations, testing, and issue tracking.
- Support audit and regulatory readiness activities through evidence collection and documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of resolution plan submissions, including Living Will (165(d)) deliverables.
- Produce regulator-ready documentation covering assumptions, methodologies, data sources, and limitations.
- Partner with Treasury, Finance, Risk, Operations, and Technology teams to improve data quality, controls, and reporting capabilities.
- Ensure all deliverables are traceable, defensible, and aligned with regulatory expectations.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of experience in Resolution Planning, Treasury/Liquidity Analytics, Finance Transformation, Data Governance, or Data Modeling.
- Strong understanding of Resolution Planning (RRP) frameworks and deliverables.
- Strong knowledge of liquidity stress testing concepts and resolution strategies.
- Experience translating regulatory requirements into structured data models, analytical logic, and business rules.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint.
- 5+ years of experience partnering across business and technology organizations.
- Experience gathering requirements, facilitating working sessions, and managing dependencies and delivery timelines.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts to senior management, regulators, and audit teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SQL for data extraction, analysis, and validation.
- Banking or Capital Markets industry experience.
- Coding or automation experience.
- Experience supporting regulatory submissions and Living Will programs.
- Treasury governance, controls, or liquidity risk management experience.
