Position Overview

Help improve inpatient pharmacy and oncology medication workflows by leading the design, configuration, optimization, and support of Epic Willow Inpatient and Beacon applications. This senior consulting role combines hands-on Epic application build with clinical collaboration, partnering with pharmacists, providers, nursing teams, operational leaders, and executive stakeholders to deliver safe and efficient medication management solutions.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the senior subject matter expert for Epic Willow Inpatient and Beacon applications.
• Lead application design, build, testing, implementation, optimization, and ongoing production support.
• Perform hands-on Order Set, Treatment Plan, and Therapy Plan configuration and maintenance.
• Facilitate workflow discussions and requirements gathering with clinical and operational stakeholders.
• Translate inpatient pharmacy and oncology workflows into effective Epic solutions.
• Configure and optimize medication management workflows, clinical decision support, pharmacy queues, dispensing, and medication administration processes.
• Develop workflow documentation, functional requirements, build specifications, and test plans.
• Coordinate integrated workflows across Epic application teams.
• Support testing, go-live readiness, cutover activities, stabilization, and production issue resolution.
• Identify workflow improvements that enhance medication safety and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent pharmacy degree with a license in good standing.
• Current Epic Willow Inpatient (Willow IP) and Beacon Oncology certification.
• 5+ years of Epic application experience with significant Willow Inpatient and Beacon support.
• 5+ years supporting production Epic environments, application optimization, and operational maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with Order Set, Treatment Plan, and Therapy Plan build, configuration, testing, and maintenance.
• Experience leading workflow design and requirements gathering sessions with clinicians, pharmacists, providers, operational leaders, and executive stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of inpatient pharmacy workflows and medication management processes.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across clinical, operational, and technical teams.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel based on client and project needs.
