Manufacturing Engineer
Introduction:
The Manufacturing Engineer will focus on implementing IIoT/Industry 4.0 applications and connecting equipment to software and systems to enable this technology. They will be responsible for technical planning, designing, and developing new IT solutions to solve complex business problems.
Responsibilities:
- Determine and develop approaches to assignments
- Contribute IT technical content to projects and programs
- Apply deep technical specialization to solve a broad range of problems
- Design, analyze, evaluate, test, debug, and implement applications programs
- Manage large information technology vendors in designing and developing IT solutions
- Provide IT support for manufacturing staff regarding computer software and hardware

Skills:
Applications: Analyze, design, configure, and test software programs throughout the product life cycle. Monitor industry trends for technological evolutions and leverage appropriate technology.
Computing: Assess requirements, design systems, and manage the lifecycle of computing hardware and database systems. Proficient in virtualization, cloud computing, and other technical features.
Networking: Assess requirements, design systems, and manage the lifecycle of network systems. Proficient in software-defined networking and network security.
Security: Develop and execute security controls, defenses, and countermeasures to prevent internal or external attacks. Administer security policies to control access to systems and maintain firewalls and encryption protocols.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or University Degree or equivalent. Typically 4-5 years relevant experience for entry to this level. Requires in-depth knowledge and experience in the job and ability to work independently.
