Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS) is seeking a
Senior ServiceNow Developer to support the design, configuration, development, and maintenance of ServiceNow solutions in support of the Federal Communications Commissions (FCC) Enterprise Technical Services (FETS) contract. The developer will work closely with the ITSM, cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, and quality service management teams to implement scalable, secure, and effective ServiceNow modules aligned to FCC business and operational goals.
Responsibilities - Design and develop advanced ServiceNow modules and workflows, including ITSM, Project Portfolio Management (PPM), Discovery, Service Mapping, HR Service Delivery, and Customer Service Management
- Collaborate with business analysts, process owners, and technical leads to gather and implement requirements
- Translate business needs into technical requirements and develop scalable solutions using ServiceNow best practices
- Build and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs
- Support configuration management databases (CMDB), scripting, catalog items, and mid-server functionality
- Knowledge and experience in implementing service catalogs, self-service portals, and CMDB accuracy.
- Create and manage service improvement stories within the Continual Service Improvement (CSI) registry
- Support the development of KPIs, dashboards, and reporting to track performance, ROI, and business value
- Contribute to the ServiceNow governance process and ensure compliance with change control and security policies
- Assist with platform upgrades, patching, testing, and migration to production
- Guide junior developers and support knowledge transfer within the team
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications - Bachelors degree and 4+ years of relevant experience; OR
- Associate and 6+ years of relevant experience; OR
- High School and 8+ years of relevant experience
- ServiceNow development experience, including custom application development and advanced module configuration
- Active ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator
Preferred Qualifications: - Certified Application Developer and/or Implementation Specialist (preferred)
- Ability to conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process discovery sessions.
- Skill in eliciting, documenting, and validating business requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Ability to work on-site full-time
- Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting
- Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals
- Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, and experience working in a home office setting, as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.
- Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone; good phone skills, professional demeanor, and previous customer service experience strongly desired.
- Good problem-solving skills; ability to visualize a problem/situation and think abstractly to solve it
