Description: Our client is currently seeking a Senior .NET/C# Developer
Location: Hybrid in Austin, TX (4 days a week onsite from Monday - Thursday, and Friday - Remote)
Duration: 12 months with possibility of extension
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our enterprise technology team. This role requires 6-10 years of progressive experience developing robust applications within the .NET framework using C#. You'll work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment applying SDLC principles to deliver high-quality solutions that drive business value.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level applications using C# and the .NET framework
Lead projects of moderate complexity, providing technical guidance and mentorship to team members
Architect and implement backend services with focus on performance, scalability, and security
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
Apply object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and best practices
Resolve code vulnerabilities, technical debt, and security flaws
Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
Experience
5+ years developing applications for Windows platforms using C# .NET
4+ years building Web API, REST Services, WCF, or SOAP Services
4+ years working with database systems (SQL, Oracle, Aerospike, or MongoDB)
1+ years leading technical projects with moderate complexity
Experience with distributed platforms (Windows preferred or UNIX)
Technical Skills
Strong expertise in .NET and C# for backend services, including multithreading and memory management
Deep understanding of object-oriented programming concepts, design patterns, algorithms, and data structures
Proficiency resolving code smells, vulnerabilities, and application security issues
Experience with source code repositories (BitBucket, GitHub)
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines
Working knowledge of Agile methodology
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Rational Unified Process, Agile, or other iterative development methodologies
Experience mentoring and coaching junior developers
