Compensation: Anticipated starting salary around $50,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Travel: Occasional travel to other Baker Manufacturing locations and industry trade shows may be required.

Job Summary

Baker Manufacturing Company, LLC is seeking a Pump Product Coordinator to provide technical, product, and customer support for our AY Pumps by Baker product line.

This position supports customers, sales representatives, and internal teams with pump sizing and selection, installation, troubleshooting, warranties, pricing, and product information. The Pump Product Coordinator will also assist with product development, product changes, and new product launches while working closely with Engineering, Operations, Sales, Customer Success, Purchasing, and vendors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for pump sizing, product selection, installation, troubleshooting, repair, and application questions.
  • Respond to customer and sales inquiries regarding pricing, quotes, availability, order status, part numbers, certifications, submittals, and other product information.
  • Manage warranty claims, including evaluating claims, coordinating resolutions, and processing appropriate credits.
  • Assist with customer concerns involving defective or incorrect materials, shipments, billing, and other product-related issues.
  • Coordinate product substitutions and crossovers as needed.
  • Support product development, product changes, and evaluation of new product requests.
  • Assist with new product launches, including product bulletins, price lists, catalogs, website information, training materials, and technical documentation.
  • Work with Purchasing and vendors regarding certifications, warranties, private-label products, and other product requirements.
  • Assist with internal product and customer service training.
  • Work cross-functionally to resolve product and customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Attend trade shows and travel to other Baker Manufacturing facilities as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical education preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
  • 3-4 years of related technical, manufacturing, product support, customer service, or similar experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude; experience with pumps, water systems, plumbing, electrical wiring, or mechanical equipment is highly desirable.
  • Experience with product development or project coordination is a plus.
  • Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read, understand, and communicate technical information.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently follow through on assignments.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Comfortable working with basic mathematics, measurements, percentages, proportions, and related calculations.
  • Dependable, accountable, adaptable, and willing to learn.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

This position primarily works in an office environment but requires periodic access to manufacturing and warehouse areas. The employee must be able to sit, stand, and walk for varying periods; bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, reach, and maintain balance; and occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.

Employees must be able to safely work around manufacturing equipment, wear required PPE, and work in areas that may include noise, dust, machinery, and temperature variations. Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.
