Integration & Data Platforms Lead
Remote
Client is undergoing a major enterprise transformation through the ExCAL (Exceptional Capabilities for All Leaders) Program, including the global deployment of Oracle Fusion ERP, expansion of Databricks as the enterprise data platform, modernization of integration patterns on Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), and consolidation of more than a dozen legacy ERP ecosystems. As Client scales to a unified global operating model across life safety, specialty construction, and field services, seamless and resilient integration becomes mission‑critical to enterprise operations.
The Integration & Data Platforms Lead is responsible for the end‑to‑end ownership of client's enterprise integration landscape (spanning over 100+ ExCAL integrations, cloud‑native data pipelines, API governance, event‑driven patterns, and secure data exchange across ERP, CRM, procurement, field operations, and analytics platforms). This role ensures that all ExCAL program integrations align with APi Group’s enterprise architecture, follow globally enforced patterns, and transition into stable Business‑as‑Usual (BAU) operating processes with well‑defined monitoring, change control, and operational resilience.
The ideal candidate blends expertise across cloud integration engineering, data platform architecture, API governance, ERP transformation, and vendor collaboration. This role partners closely with Enterprise Excellence, ____SI teams, platform owners, cybersecurity, data governance, and business stakeholders to ensure that APi Group’s integration ecosystem is robust, scalable, maintainable, and aligned to long‑term enterprise architecture.
Key Responsibilities
Integration Platform Leadership
- Serve as the enterprise owner for integration architecture across the ExCAL ecosystem, ensuring resilient, scalable integration patterns across all business units and systems.
- Lead and govern 100+ production integrations spanning Oracle Fusion ERP/HCM/FSM, Databricks, Azure, Microsoft CRM, GEP, field service applications, internal operational systems, and remaining legacy ERPs.
- Define, document, and enforce global integration architecture standards, including API patterns, message orchestration, event‑driven design, reusability frameworks, and security controls.
- Oversee integration performance, reliability, throughput, error handling, and SLAs across OIC, Azure, and Databricks ingestion pipelines.
ExCAL Program Execution & Transition to BAU
- Ensure ExCAL program integration deliverables align with client’s enterprise architecture and long‑term operating model.
- Drive operational readiness for integrations moving from ExCAL program delivery into Business‑as‑Usual, including logging/monitoring, handoff documentation, SLAs, support runbooks, and incident paths.
- Create a unified blueprint for integrating ExCAL support processes into existing BAU processes such as change control, release management, monitoring standards, ITSM workflows, and problem management.
- Partner with Deloitte SI and internal engineering teams to validate integration designs, challenge non‑standard approaches, and ensure long‑term sustainability.
Data Platform & Cloud Integration Governance
- Provide architectural oversight of data movement patterns between Oracle Fusion, Azure, Databricks, CRM, procurement platforms, and operational systems.
- Ensure all data pipelines follow approved governance standards including lineage tracking, data quality handling, encryption, key rotation, and retention policies.
- Define enterprise patterns for ingestion, transformation, streaming, and API‑based data distribution across cloud and on‑premises systems.
- Implement technical governance across shared data objects, ensuring consistent semantics, enriched metadata, and alignment to enterprise data models.
Operational Excellence & Platform Reliability
- Establish enterprise monitoring standards for integrations, including observability dashboards, structured error codes, alerting thresholds, and auto‑recovery mechanisms.
- Partner with cybersecurity to ensure integrations meet identity, authentication, and access control requirements across cloud and SaaS environments.
- Lead major incident triage involving integration failures, data pipeline breakdowns, or cross‑system transaction mismatches; drive root‑cause analysis and long‑term corrective action.
- Establish operational KPIs for integration performance, resiliency, and platform stability.
Solution Architecture & Design Review
- Evaluate and approve all integration‑related design decisions, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles and long‑term supportability.
- Oversee end‑to‑end integration design for new features, ERP modules, M\&A onboarding, and system enhancements—ensuring coherent and secure data exchange.
- Provide direction for API lifecycle management, schema versioning, extensibility models, and backward compatibility.
- Produce technical artifacts including interface catalogs, integration patterns, dependency maps, and architectural runways.
Collaboration, Leadership & Governance
- Partner across Enterprise Excellence, Infrastructure, Data Governance, Analytics, M\&A Integration, Cybersecurity, DevOps, and Business Process Owners.
- Lead governance forums addressing integration roadmap, platform health, design deviations, risk evaluation, and long‑term modernization.
- Align vendor delivery (Deloitte, Oracle, integration partners) with APi Group’s enterprise strategy, ensuring quality, compliance, and architectural consistency.
- Drive knowledge enablement, documentation maturity, and internal capability building across integration engineering teams.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise integration architecture, cloud integration platforms, or large‑scale data platform engineering.
- Strong experience delivering and supporting integrations for major ERP transformations (Oracle Fusion preferred).
- Expertise with integration patterns (APIs, event‑driven architecture, OIC orchestration, batch ELT, streaming pipelines).
- Hands‑on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), APIs, REST/SOAP services, message queues, and cloud‑native integration patterns.
- Strong understanding of cloud data platforms including Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Delta Lake, Python/SQL pipelines, and secure data‑sharing frameworks.
- Deep knowledge of integration observability, monitoring tools, integration error handling, and operational SLAs.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams through complex, multi‑system implementations and migrations.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and technical leadership skills in a global, distributed organization.
