What you'll do
  • Work with both controls engineers and project engineers to develop specifications for the HMI/SCADA (Human Machine Interface/Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) specifications
  • Prepare screen mock-ups and create framework designs
  • Develop clear and eye-catching operator interface screens
  • Design a robust and scalable architecture within the SCADA/HMI platform
  • Perform SCADA/HMI Programming
  • Interface with PLC control systems, database applications (SQL Server) and other data sources
  • Conduct testing with project teams in simulated environments staged in the office
  • Assist with site commissioning and installation
  • Service existing systems as required
  • Travel throughout the NAFTA required

What you'll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering with 3-5 years of experience a must have
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience with WinCC, Ignition, or other HMI platforms is an asset but not required
  • Experience with Virtual Machines and IT/Networking is a plus, but not required
  • Aptitude or interest for programming (scripting, C++, VBA, or other similar language)
