Summary

Our government client is looking for an experienced EHR Product Support Manager on an onsite 24+ months renewable contract role in Tallahassee, FL.

Role: EHR Product Support Manager W2 RATE - $90/hr

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: 
CONTRACTOR assigned to this agreement must possess the following minimum qualifications and
experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or technical equivalent with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in management and electronic health records (EHR) software and/or network administration including experience with different account customer types.
  • Thorough understanding of the data upload technical requirements for state of Florida Immunization Information System (IIS) and of the candidate systems for implementation in doctor’s offices, clinics, hospitals, and other participating facilities.
  • Thorough understanding of the HL7, VXU, QBP, and Soap web service envelope messages format.
  • Knowledge for software vendor web service connection processes and testing for VXU and QBP messages.
  • Familiar with how to document an immunization in the EHR to train organization point of contact and set up vaccine inventory in the EHR to train the organization point of contact.
  • Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects and customers at one time is essential.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the CDC vaccine code updates and the CDC manufacturer codes.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Requires ability to use a personal computer, with proficiency in MS Office products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. SERVICE TASKS: Contractor will perform the following tasks in the time and manner specified:
  • As directed by the Department, conduct meetings and troubleshooting with EHR software vendors/third party transport vendors regarding message failures.
  • As directed by the Department, oversee EHR software implementation, training, and support for EHR software providers and organizations enrolled in Florida SHOTS.
  • As directed by the Department, manage the technical interface between EHR providers and site locations of organizations enrolled in Florida SHOTS, including specification reviews, testing, and modeling and interfacing.
  • As needed, provide data training and troubleshooting to health care providers and medical software companies when resolving direct connection issues.
  • As directed by the Department, conduct routine review and maintenance of data connectivity of service site locations belonging to organizations enrolled in Florida SHOTS and identify duplicate accounts belonging to organizations enrolled in Florida SHOTS.
  • As needed, work with the Field Trainers to assist in the data upload process and troubleshoot issues.
  • Weekly, participate in virtual meetings with Interoperability Team to review current tasks and troubleshoot any possible issues.
  • Weekly, participate in virtual  meetings with Field Trainers to determine which organizations they have successfully enrolled in or reactivated in Florida SHOTS.
  • Weekly, perform data quality audits and communicate with the organizations enrolled in Florida SHOTS to address any connectivity errors and assist with making corrections in their EHR.
  • Monthly, meet with relevant staff of the Department’s Immunization Section.
  • Monthly, communicate progress with Field Trainers, interoperability team members and relevant members of the Department’s Immunization Section staff, identified by the Department, via e-mails, phone calls, and reports.
  • Participate in updating Florida SHOTS specification documents as directed by the Department.
  • As needed, assist the Department’s Florida SHOTS and VFC staff with consolidation requests and VFC PIN transfers for organizations enrolled in Florida SHOTS.
  • As directed by the Department, attend trade shows, conferences, and conventions to continue education regarding the implementation of data upload linkages and medical software.
  • DATA SECURITY AND CONFIDENTIALITY TASK: 

The Contractor, its employees, subcontractors, and agents must comply at all times with all Department data security procedures and policies in the performance of this scope of work as specified in the Data Security and Confidentiality document attached to the purchase order.
