Role and ResponsibilitiesThe Product Testing Engineer will be responsible for quality assurance and quality improvement testing/analyzing of the key performance attributes for smartphones, smartwatch, tablets, laptop and competitor products. You will also be involved in the testing of Samsung IOT products.
The testing is conducted as per the Samsung Quality Assurance ("QA") lab test protocols which are based on performance measurements and QA lab testing methodologies. Subjective assessments of usability, design elements and other key performance attributes. You will provide detailed testing reports to US and Korean management which note possible risk points as well as recommendations for improvement.
Assessment and knowledge of the technical media landscape is expected to ensure Samsung products are in line with consumer expectations.
This role involves analyzing product review scores from US tech magazines, verifying the results through evaluation and data simulation, and communicating with the magazines and Samsung R&D.
In the process of communicating with the magazines, you will need to prepare and deliver logical presentations that effectively convey key issues and present them persuasively.
Also, analyzing US IoT VOC (Voice of the Customer) data and conduct QA tests to evaluate and reproduce the results.
Role and Responsibilities- Typical performance and quality assurance tests - smartphone camera /display /performance e/battery /AI, smartwatch sensor accuracy, etc.
- Analyze US tech magazine's test results and scores (data analysis)
- Oversight of lab infrastructure, maintaining existing system for operability and research solutions for improvement when the need arises.
- Actively maintain and update technical expertise on new products and technology by attending product related media events, technical seminars or external training
- Closely collaborate with HQ counterparts to make product improvements for smartphones through detailed reporting
- US IoT VOC review, evaluation, and data analysis
Skills and Qualifications- 4+ years of experience
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Statistics, Science or similar discipline preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and modeling, Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Fluency in English (Korean optional)
- Experience in market research or competitive analysis
- Familiarity with smartphone / smartwatch / Laptop / Tablet testing methodologies
- Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques

The salary range for this role is expected to be between $107,500 and $122,500. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
