This role is ideal for an experienced Scrum Master who enjoys coaching teams, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Location: Buffalo, NY or Wilmington, DE
Duration: 12 months

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Serve as Scrum Master for multiple Agile teams, providing servant leadership and coaching in Scrum, Kanban, and Agile methodologies.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and team planning sessions.
  • Promote team self-organization, accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Coach teams on Agile best practices including user stories, story mapping, retrospectives, ATDD, TDD, continuous integration, and information radiators.
  • Remove organizational impediments and coordinate with stakeholders to keep teams focused on sprint goals.
  • Leverage Agile metrics and data-informed decision-making to improve team performance and delivery outcomes.
  • Mentor junior Scrum Masters and contribute to organizational Agile maturity.
  • Partner with Agile leaders to strengthen Agile adoption and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational risk management, governance, and internal control standards.

Scope of Responsibilities:
  • Guide multiple cross-functional Agile teams in delivering business value through effective Agile practices.
  • Champion continuous improvement by analyzing team metrics, facilitating collaboration, and implementing process enhancements.
  • Utilize Agile tools including Jira, Confluence, Miro, and similar collaboration platforms to improve team visibility and productivity.
  • Foster an environment of trust, collaboration, and high performance while supporting enterprise Agile transformation efforts.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:
  • No direct supervisory responsibility.
  • Lead through influence, servant leadership, coaching, and accountability.
  • Mentor less experienced Scrum Masters and support Agile best practices across teams.

Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience working on Agile teams, including at least 2 years as a Scrum Master; or a combined minimum of 8 years of higher education and/or professional experience, including at least 4 years on Agile teams and 2 years as a Scrum Master.
  • Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile, and Team Agility Foundation principles.
  • Experience coaching Agile teams and facilitating Scrum ceremonies.
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Miro, and other Agile collaboration tools.
  • Experience applying Agile metrics and data-informed decision-making to improve team performance.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills.

Education and Experience Preferred:
  • Experience in multiple technology disciplines such as Project Management, Business Analysis, User Experience, Software Development, Quality Assurance, Testing, or Deployment.
  • Demonstrated success fostering self-organizing, high-performing Agile teams.
  • Strong understanding of Agile, Lean, and continuous delivery principles.
  • Experience supporting digital product development or technology transformation initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Design Thinking methodologies.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence in complex, cross-functional environments.
  • Scrum Master or Agile certifications are preferred.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
