New Relic is looking for an Enterprise Systems Engineer to help our Finance Technology team scale our financial software stack! The role will be focused on building and maintaining custom tools, scripts, and process flows for SaaS platforms, ranging from ERPs and billing systems to tax software and integration platforms. 

An ideal candidate should have a proven track record working in financial systems, is familiar with relevant software languages, and follows best practices in the software development lifecycle. They will be hungry for knowledge and ready to implement the newest features and functionality across a complex architecture, pairing with fellow engineers, quality assurance engineers, and business systems analysts to deliver stable and scalable deliverables. We’re looking for people who enjoy designing solutions to solve problems rather than focusing on completing tasks as fast as possible.

What you’ll do:

·       Use a combination of SaaS technology and software engineering to solve use cases in our financial and ancillary systems

·       Resolve problems end-to-end, from system design and development to operability and scalability

·       Implement new financial tools and systems as required by the business 

·       Provide high quality and adaptable deliverables in a rapid growth environment

·       Improve our existing stack, ranging from bug fixes to enhancements

·       Collaborate with program managers, engineers, quality assurance engineers, business systems analysts, and stakeholders to deliver robust solutions for our Finance, Product, and Go-To-Market teams

This Role Requires

·       2+ years supporting financial systems (Billing/Order to Cash. Domain - Billing platform)

·       Intermediate level experience with Javascript, Oracle PL SQL, SQL. Experience in Configuring the billing platform, coding and enhancement.

·       Familiarity with REST APIs

·       Background in SaaS billing platforms, including Billing Platform, Avalara, and Braintree

·       Experience working with ERP platforms like Netsuite, Oracle, or SAP

·       A strong understanding of financial use cases and business processes

·       Recognizes the importance of continuous improvement and identifying opportunities to streamline/optimize current practices in order to shorten delivery schedules, improve quality, and/or increase efficiency 

·       The individual must be a team player, results oriented, proactive and not afraid to ask questions.
