As Director of Reporting & Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in advancing IBX's clinical, medical management, and value-based initiatives by leading the development of reporting and analytical solutions that drive measurable impact across the organization.
Reporting to the Chief Analytics Officer and Vice President of Informatics, you will serve as the primary liaison to leadership in the facilitated health network area. This role ensures compliance, supports quality improvement, and enables effective care management, utilization management and reimbursement by delivering actionable insights. You will oversee the execution, and continuous improvement of value-based care reporting-including dashboards, scorecards, and analytics tools. Your leadership will foster a culture of excellence and innovation, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and industry regulations, and delivering actionable insights that enable effective care management, utilization management, and reimbursement.
Primary Responsibilities:
Utilization and Care Management Reporting and Analytics
Serve as the main Informatics liaison to the VP of Case & Condition Management and the VP of Medical Management & Medical Policy, supporting internal stakeholder collaboration
Provide analytic leadership to enhance member health outcomes and optimize medical costs across IBX's clinical areas by advancing case management program effectiveness, ensuring appropriate utilization of medical services through prior authorizations, and applying evidence-based medical policies to inform healthcare decisions
Lead a team that develops reporting and analytic capabilities (automated reporting, self-service tools, dashboards) that aligns with internal stakeholders' priorities and enterprise goals
Value Based Reporting
Lead strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of all value-based care reporting including the development and maintenance of dashboards, scorecards, and other analytics tools to track progress toward organizational goals.
Oversee the collection, analysis, and presentation of data related to value-based contracts, provider attribution, quality metrics, risk score models, and population health outcomes, ensuring data integrity through regular audits and validation processes.
Collaborate with clinical, IT, finance, actuarial, and compliance teams to identify data needs, streamline reporting workflows, refine attribution and risk scoring methodologies, and translate analytics into operational improvements.
Provide leadership and mentorship to reporting and analytics teams, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation while ensuring adherence to federal, state, and industry regulations.
Serve as a subject matter expert and primary point of contact for value-based reporting, provider attribution, and risk scoring for both internal and external stakeholders; prepare executive reports and support audits as required.
Monitor and support all financial and operational reports generated from our Provider portal, by ensuring that reports are delivered on schedule and meet established quality standards.
Qualifications:
Masters in Statistics, Mathematics, Public Health, Health Economics, or a discipline relevant to the application of quantitative analytics
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in a healthcare analytic environment, with a minimum of 3 years of people management experience
Significant experience in health insurance data and concepts (e.g., medical and pharmacy claims, authorizations, EMR, PMPM, HEDIS, risk score, etc.)
Demonstrated expertise in data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, R, Python, Tableau, SAS, etc.) with the ability to work with large datasets
Proven ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts and craft compelling data narratives for a diverse audience across the enterprise
Outstanding organizational skills and effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities to problem-solve and promote collaboration and clarity across teams in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
Exceptional ability to lead and influence across matrixed organizations
Embodies optimism and resourcefulness, motivating teams to tackle challenges and reach ambitious objectives
Hybrid
Independence has implemented a "Hybrid" model which consists of Associates working in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) and remotely 2 days a week (Monday & Friday). This role is designated as a role that fits into the "Hybrid" model. While associates may work remotely on our designated remote days, the work must be performed in the Tri-State Area of Delaware, New Jersey or Pennsylvania.
