Automation Maintenance Technician / Production TechnicianLocation: Hermiston, OR

Job OverviewWe are hiring
hands-on technicians with at least
one year of practical experience fixing, repairing, or maintaining equipment. This role supports automated and robotic systems in a modern distribution center and is ideal for candidates who enjoy
working with their hands, troubleshooting problems, and figuring out how things work.
This position is well-suited for individuals with backgrounds in
electro-mechanical systems, mechanical maintenance, automation, robotics, or IT hardware support who want to grow their technical skills in an industrial environment.
What You'll DoHands-On Maintenance & Repair- Perform hands-on maintenance, repair, and calibration of automated and robotic equipment, including lifts and mobile robotic vehicles.
- Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, or system-related issues to keep equipment running smoothly.
Troubleshooting & Support- Identify faults and assist with troubleshooting electro-mechanical, electrical, PLC-controlled, or hardware-related issues.
- Escalate complex problems and work alongside more experienced technicians when needed.
Installations & Upgrades- Assist with installing, upgrading, and integrating new automated equipment and systems within the facility.
- Support retrofit projects in existing warehouse infrastructure.
Safety & Work Environment- Work safely in a high-density, automated warehouse environment.
- Perform work at heights (up to 45 feet) when required, following all safety procedures.
Team Collaboration- Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to ensure reliable system performance.
- Communicate clearly and contribute to a team-focused work culture.
What We're Looking ForRequired Experience- At least 1 year of hands-on experience fixing, repairing, or maintaining equipment.
- Experience may come from:
- Electro-mechanical or mechanical maintenance
- Industrial or warehouse equipment repair
- Robotics or automation environments
- IT hardware technician roles (servers, networking gear, physical hardware)
- Trade school, military, or field-based technical roles
Technical Aptitude- Comfortable using tools and working on physical equipment.
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems.
- Willingness to learn PLCs, automation controls, and robotic systems.
Physical Requirements- Ability to work in an industrial environment.
- Comfortable climbing ladders, lifting equipment, and working in confined spaces.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Hermiston, OR.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
