This is a hands-on development role focused on migrating applications and business processes from existing platforms to a strategic platform. The team is driving a strategic initiative to migrate critical applications and business processes to a future-state platform. This position offers exposure to large-scale transformation projects, modern technologies, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and support the migration of applications and business processes.
- Collaborate with multiple technology teams to ensure a smooth transition to the strategic platform.
- Perform end-to-end application development using core Java 11+ and modern frameworks like Spring and Spring Boot.
- Handle database design, SQL, query tuning, and optimization.
- Profile, optimize memory, and tune data-intensive, large-scale enterprise applications.
- Utilize strong coding, analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities to deliver solutions.
- Communicate status, risks, and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical teams.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline is required.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in end-to-end application development using core Java (including multi-threading, collections, functional programming) and modern frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate) is required.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in database design, SQL, query tuning, and performance optimization for large-scale enterprise applications is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience with frontend UI technologies such as HTML5, AngularJS, Backbone.js, and Bootstrap in an Agile environment.
- Experience with Big Data technologies including Apache Spark and Hadoop, along with knowledge of large-scale distributed ecosystems.
- Familiarity with cloud computing architectures.
- A background in enterprise stress testing and risk management (credit, operational, and market).
