responsibilities:

• Supports implementation, stabilization, and daily performance of security tooling
• Lead lifecycle management of enterprise security tools and platforms
• Manage and mentor a team of senior security engineers responsible for deployment, integration, tuning and operational management of security technologies
• Drive and develop automation and an engineering first approach to reduce manual efforts
• Partner with security operations to ensure tools support operational workflows
• Establish metrics, KPIs and maturity roadmaps for security tooling effectiveness
• Ensure tools are configured, proactively monitored and maintained according to security best practices
• Drive continuous improvement of detection coverage, automation and operational efficiency

qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.

8+ years of dedicated professional experience within security engineering.

2+ years of direct leadership experience managing and mentoring security engineering or security tooling teams.

Deep, hands-on technical experience deploying, integrating, and maintaining enterprise security platforms (including SIEM, EDR, Vulnerability Management, Cloud Security, and SOAR tools).

Strong scripting capabilities (specifically Python) with proven experience building automation workflows, custom integrations, and operational tooling.

Exceptional ability to balance high-level strategic vision with rigorous, hands-on technical execution.
