Senior Automation Test Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Automation Test Engineer to support the quality and reliability of complex, cloud-based applications. This role focuses on building and maintaining automated test solutions while partnering closely with engineering, product, and testing teams to ensure robust functional and non-functional coverage.
What You'll Do
You will design, develop, and execute automated testing solutions across the application lifecycle, covering functional, integration, regression, and performance testing. This includes test planning, test data preparation, and maintaining strong automation coverage across critical workflows. You'll collaborate with developers, product owners, and other QA team members to ensure high-quality releases and efficient defect resolution.
You'll also support non-functional testing efforts by coordinating with performance or load testing teams, monitoring execution progress, and helping analyze results. As part of day-to-day testing activities, you'll troubleshoot issues by reviewing application logs, data stores, and related system outputs, and contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices and processes.
In addition, you'll help maintain test environments by supporting deployments, monitoring CI/CD pipelines, and managing dependencies or integrations needed for testing. Opportunities to mentor junior team members or provide technical guidance may also be part of the role.
What You Bring
You have 5+ years of experience in software testing, with strong hands-on expertise in test automation and a solid understanding of modern QA practices. You've worked with cloud-hosted applications and are comfortable testing distributed systems. Your background includes developing automated test frameworks and scripts, as well as executing functional, integration, regression, and performance-related testing.
You're experienced with one or more common automation frameworks and tools (such as UI and API automation) and are proficient in at least one programming language commonly used in test automation (e.g., Java or Python). Familiarity with multiple development methodologies-Agile, iterative, or behavior-driven development-is important, as is experience working within CI/CD pipelines.
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience) is preferred. Testing certifications and prior experience leading or mentoring small teams are a plus, but not required.
