• Title: Informatica ETL Engineer
• Location: Pittsburgh, PA only - 5 days in office
• Contract: W2 only,12 month contract with potential for extension or conversion to full time with either the client or CEI
• Pay: $60/hour + optional medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match

Overview

Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance. Design and develop software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design. Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements and resolve customer problems. Advise customer about, or perform, maintenance of software system.

Key Responsibilities

• Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance.
• Design and develop software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
• Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements and resolve customer problems.
• Advise customer about, or perform, maintenance of software system.

Required Skills

• Core Informatica Skills Informatica PowerCenter (Development & Debugging): Mappings, Mapplets, Sessions, and Workflow & Reusable transformations and parameterized workflows
• Strong understanding of ETL concepts (Extract, Transform, Load)
• Experience with source to target mappings
• Knowledge of Informatica Repository and metadata management
• Basic performance tuning (partitioning awareness, caching, pushdown concepts)
• Databases & SQL Strong working knowledge of SQL: Joins, subqueries, aggregations
• Data validation and reconciliation queries
• Experience with relational databases such as: Oracle Teradata
• Soft Skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter, independent worker able to see through to completion

Required Education

• Bachelors degree required

Preferred Skills
