Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle EBS Manufacturing / Shop Floor Management Consultant to join our team in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite manufacturing modules and a strong understanding of end-to-end shop floor processes.

The consultant will collaborate with business stakeholders, manufacturing teams, and technical teams to gather requirements, design scalable solutions, configure Oracle EBS modules, support integrations, conduct testing, and provide post-production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing and shop floor business processes and translate them into Oracle EBS solutions.
• Configure and support Oracle EBS Manufacturing and Shop Floor Management functionality.
• Work extensively with Oracle EBS modules, including:
  • Work in Process (WIP)
  • Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Inventory
  • Cost Management
  • Quality
  • Routings and Work Centers
• Support shop floor processes involving work orders, routings, component issues, material transactions, job completions, scrap, rework, and quality inspections.
• Conduct requirement-gathering sessions with business users and document functional requirements.
• Prepare functional design documents, process flows, configuration documents, test cases, and user guides.
• Design scalable solutions aligned with manufacturing operations and Oracle EBS best practices.
• Configure, test, implement, and enhance Oracle EBS R12/R12.2 manufacturing solutions.
• Participate in full lifecycle Oracle EBS implementations, upgrades, rollouts, and enhancement projects.
• Support integration between Oracle EBS and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or other shop floor applications.
• Coordinate with technical teams on interfaces, conversions, reports, extensions, and workflows.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing transactions, data issues, integration failures, and application defects.
• Provide production support, root-cause analysis, and timely resolution of business-critical issues.
• Assist with data validation, cutover planning, deployment, and post-go-live support.
• Conduct user training and support business teams during system adoption.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across supply chain, finance, quality, procurement, and manufacturing.

Required Qualifications

• 9+ years of overall IT experience with strong expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle EBS Manufacturing and Shop Floor Management.
• Strong functional knowledge of:
  • Oracle WIP
  • Oracle BOM
  • Oracle Inventory
  • Oracle Cost Management
  • Oracle Quality
• Strong understanding of manufacturing and shop floor processes, including:
  • Discrete work orders
  • Routing and operations
  • Material issues and returns
  • Resource and operation transactions
  • Work order completions
  • Scrap and rework
  • Quality inspections
  • Inventory and costing transactions
• Hands-on experience with Oracle EBS R12 or R12.2.
• Experience with at least two full lifecycle Oracle EBS implementations or major enhancement projects.
• Experience across requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, implementation, deployment, and production support.
• Ability to prepare functional specifications and work effectively with Oracle technical teams.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in San Diego, CA.
• Must be eligible to work on a W2 basis.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating Oracle EBS with MES or shop floor systems.
• Knowledge of Oracle interfaces, APIs, reports, workflows, and data conversions.
• Experience with manufacturing-related integrations involving machines, scanners, labels, or other shop floor applications.
• Understanding of end-to-end supply chain and manufacturing business processes.
• Experience supporting Oracle EBS upgrades, global rollouts, or multi-organization environments.
• Familiarity with SQL for data analysis and troubleshooting is an advantage.

Work Arrangement

This is a W2-only opportunity requiring full-time onsite presence in San Diego, California. Candidates must be willing and able to work from the client's location.
