Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer II with strong LabVIEW expertise to support automated test development within a marine systems engineering environment. The ideal candidate will design and develop data acquisition and test stand software using LabVIEW, contributing to next-generation testing systems.

This is a hands-on engineering role requiring deep experience in LabVIEW programming, test automation, and integration with hardware platforms such as PXI and PLCs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop data acquisition (DAQ) software using LabVIEW for production and FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing)
• Develop and maintain automated test stand software and tools
• Troubleshoot and resolve test software issues
• Create user manuals and documentation for test operators
• Develop tools for:
  • Test preparation and execution
  • Post-test data analysis
  • Issue tracking and performance metrics
  • Statistical analysis and reporting
• Implement automated report generation and analytics tools
• Lead and mentor team members in LabVIEW programming and best practices
• Develop training materials and curriculum for engineers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define hardware/software requirements
• Ensure adherence to software development standards and coding practices
• Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements

Required Qualifications

• NI LabVIEW Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) certification
• Strong hands-on experience in LabVIEW programming for automated test systems
• Experience developing test software in production or engineering environments
• Familiarity with PLC ladder logic programming
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as EtherNet/IP and Modbus
• Experience working with data acquisition systems (DAQ)

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in LabVIEW-based test software development
• NI LabVIEW Certified LabVIEW Architect (CLA) certification
• Experience with NI PXI platform
• Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and ladder logic programming
• Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and architectures
