Summary

Title: Sr. Cybersecurity Analysts

Location:  95% Remote with travel to s Topeka, Kansavery occasionally
Duration: 10 Weeks: Remediation Planning + Roadmap - Followed by 12 Months: Continuous Monitoring & Dashboards

Start: Within 2 weeks


Note: Must pass Kansas Bureau of Investigation and Federal Bureau of Investigation background checks; drug testing may apply

Role Summary: Senior analysts will own the remediation program, converting assessment findings into executable actions. They will work with stakeholders across IT, security, and operations to build prioritized remediation plans and track implementation progress throughout the year.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Review completed NIST CSF 2.0 assessment and gap analysis.
  • Translate gaps into actionable remediation tasks, mapped to CSF functions and categories.
  • Lead working sessions to establish priorities, dependencies, timelines, and required resources.
  • Oversee remediation implementation across technology, process, and governance domains.
  • Build and maintain the executive cyber dashboard (progress, risks, KPIs, heatmaps).
  • Provide ongoing risk scoring, remediation validation, and monthly progress updates.
  • Identify obstacles, inefficiencies, or risks to remediation timelines.
  • Mentor the junior analyst and ensure consistency in reporting and documentation.

 

Required Qualifications

  • 7–12+ years in cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance (GRC).
  • Hands-on experience running NIST CSF remediation programs (1.1 or 2.0).
  • Strong understanding of controls, security architecture, and risk quantification.
  • Ability to convert assessment findings into prioritized remediation actions.
  • Experience building dashboards for executive audiences.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder-coordination skills.

Title: Junior Cybersecurity Analyst  

Role Summary

The junior analyst supports the senior team by maintaining documentation, updating dashboards, tracking remediation progress, and coordinating meetings across the remediation program.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the remediation inventory aligned to CSF 2.0 controls.
  • Track remediation activity status, risks, blockers, and owner assignments.
  • Update the executive monitoring dashboard with weekly and monthly metrics.
  • Support reporting for leadership, governance committees, and audit.
  • Document working sessions, decisions, risks, and action items.
  • Assist with continuous monitoring activities throughout the 1-year period.

Required Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of cybersecurity, IT risk, or compliance experience.
  • Solid documentation, coordination, and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of NIST CSF components (training is acceptable).
  • Ability to work in a structured, fast-moving remediation environment.
