The Opportunity

StaffRight Associates has been retained by a premier corporate partner to identify a high-performing Senior Java Developer with specialized expertise in AI and ML integration. In this hybrid contract engagement based in Charlotte, NC, you will serve as a pivotal technical lead powering the next generation of enterprise workforce and payroll applications. By collaborating with StaffRight Associates, you will position your expertise at the intersection of modern enterprise software engineering and cutting-edge artificial intelligence, driving scalable solutions that directly impact business operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Architect technical solutions from business requirement gathering sessions, converting high-level workforce operations needs into robust software designs.

  • Coordinate international development teams across architecture, coding standards, and delivery milestones to ensure flawless feature deployment.

  • Embed advanced machine learning models and intelligent solutions into core enterprise Java systems to optimize workforce analytics and process automation.

  • Construct AI-driven features—such as predictive analytics, intelligent recommendation systems, automated search capabilities, and custom conversational assistants—utilizing Large Language Models and generative interfaces.

  • Engineer microservices-based backend architectures using modern framework suites to support high-throughput, secure RESTful APIs.

  • Partner directly with data science professionals to operationalize, evaluate, and fine-tune machine learning algorithms within live production environments.

  • Develop responsive, accessible user-facing interfaces to deliver seamless client interactions across multiple platform browsers.

  • Drive continuous deployment pipeline automation and cloud application orchestration using modern container systems.

  • Optimize data storage mechanisms, query execution paths, and structural schemas across both relational and document-oriented databases.

  • Resolve complex full-stack technical bottlenecks while advocating for strict code quality, security, and performance benchmarks.

What You Bring

  • 8+ Years of professional development experience as a Full Stack Java Developer, with targeted domain exposure to human capital management, staffing solutions, or payroll applications.

  • Mastery in enterprise back-end development powered by Java 21 and Spring Boot 3.3.

  • 2+ Years of applied expertise embedding Machine Learning Models and utilizing modern Artificial Intelligence Tools.

  • Proven Experience leveraging Generative AI, Large Language Models, and external AI APIs inside enterprise application environments.

  • Proficiency in modern front-end engineering using Angular, HTML5, CSS3, and TypeScript or JavaScript.

  • Deep Understanding of RESTful API Design, Microservices Architecture, and cloud platform deployment on Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

  • Hands-On Expertise with continuous integration pipelines and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Database Management skills across relational systems like MySQL and PostgreSQL, as well as document stores like MongoDB.

Compensation & Total Rewards

  • Pay Range: $50 - $60 / hr

  • Engagement Details: 6–12 Month Contract (Hybrid in Charlotte, NC; W-2 position; No C2C or subcontracting arrangements considered)
