Role Overview
We are seeking multiple Manufacturing Engineers for an opportunity supporting high-volume contact lens manufacturing operations. This role involves hands-on work on the production floor, providing direct support for day-to-day manufacturing issues and driving productivity improvement initiatives. The position requires working within a regulated environment focused on product safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support high-volume manufacturing operations in a 24/7 environment.
- Work directly on the production floor with line leaders to address issues.
- Troubleshoot and maintain automation equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Provide hands-on support for daily manufacturing challenges.
- Drive productivity improvement initiatives through project-based work.
- Ensure adherence to regulated processes, SOPs, and product safety standards.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
Experience: Approximately 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or controls engineering role, supporting large-scale, high-volume production environments.
Technical Skills: A background in manufacturing or controls engineering with experience in automation and equipment troubleshooting is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a regulated industry such as pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or medical devices.
- Knowledge of plastic injection molding or metrology equipment.
- PMP or Lean Six Sigma certifications.
- Master Molder certification.
Work Environment
This is a hands-on role requiring the engineer to be on-site and active on the production floor. The environment is fast-paced and execution-focused, demanding high accountability. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and the ability to constructively challenge processes to ensure safety and efficiency.
