Oracle OCI Cloud Engineer

• The Oracle OCI Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environments, including databases, middleware, and application services.
• This role focuses on ensuring high availability, performance optimization, and secure cloud operations while collaborating with development and DevOps teams.

Experience:

• 10+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and related technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Design and manage Oracle OCI environments including database and middleware components.
• Develop and maintain Oracle APEX applications and ORDS services.
• Configure and administer Oracle WebLogic Server and related platforms.
• Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and conversions.
• Implement and manage backup, recovery, and replication strategies.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and data protection.
• Monitor and optimize database performance and implement tuning improvements.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting and configuration management tools.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams for seamless deployments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues.
• Document processes and provide guidance on best practices.

Skills:

• Strong expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Experience with Oracle APEX and Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS).
• Proficiency in Oracle WebLogic Server administration.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle Database architecture including CDB and PDB.
• Experience with database upgrade, backup, and recovery processes.
• Proficiency in Linux or Unix environments and shell scripting.
• Experience with configuration management and version control tools.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Should Have:

• Experience with database monitoring and management tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and API integrations.
• Oracle certifications such as OCIP, OCP, or OCE.

Qualification And Education:

• Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
