We are looking for an experienced IT QA Analyst with Salesforce and Agile experience to support a government regulatory system. 
The role involves test planning, execution, defect tracking, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Job Title: IT Quality Assurance Analyst (Salesforce)

Client: State of Vermont Cannabis Control Board (CCB)
Location: Remote (Occasional onsite in Montpelier, VT not expected)
Work Hours: 7:45 AM 4:30 PM EST
Duration: ~12 months (with possible extension)

Project Overview 
The Vermont Cannabis Control Board (CCB) manages licensing and regulation of cannabis businesses using a Salesforce-based application.

The system supports:
  • Licensing (cultivators, retailers, employees)
  • Inventory tracking (seed-to-sale)
  • Payments and renewals
  • Regulatory compliance
The QA Analyst will support system stabilization, defect resolution, and ongoing enhancements, working closely with business, development, and product teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute QA strategies, test plans, and test cases
  • Perform functional, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Review business and technical requirements for test coverage
  • Identify, document, and track defects and issues
  • Collaborate with developers, business teams, and Product Owner
  • Facilitate and participate in UAT sessions
  • Maintain QA documentation and quality metrics reporting
  • Ensure testing is completed before releases
  • Improve QA processes, tools, and methodologies

Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong experience in QA testing (manual + automation)
  • Expertise in:
    • Test planning & execution
    • Test case/scenario creation
    • Defect tracking & reporting
    • Regression testing
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and QA methodologies
  • Ability to analyze requirements and ensure test coverage
  • Experience with UAT coordination
  • Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Salesforce platform testing
  • Experience with Azure DevOps
  • Exposure to Copado (release management)
  • Experience with Testim (automation testing)
  • Knowledge of regulatory or licensing systems
  • Experience in Cannabis regulatory domain (nice to have)
