Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Workday Platform Engineer to support and enhance client's Finance Technology ecosystem. This role will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, resilient Workday solutions across core Finance modules. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving automation, integration, and innovation within the Workday Finance platform while ensuring system reliability, performance, and alignment with business needs. You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Finance stakeholders, and engineering teams to deliver robust solutions that support Capital One's financial systems and business objectives.
Workday Platform Development & Engineering:
- Design, develop, and deliver scalable solutions within the Workday platform.
- Support Workday Finance modules including:
- General Ledger
- Fixed Assets
- Expenses
- Global Consolidation
- Invoices
- Payments
- Suppliers
Integration & Automation:
- Design and develop integration solutions using Workday integration tools.
- Work with Workday APIs using REST and SOAP protocols.
- Automate functional and technical processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Partner with Product Owners to understand business requirements and testing scenarios.
- Translate business needs into technical solutions aligned with Finance strategies.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
System Support & Maintenance
- Provide production support including troubleshooting, testing, and issue resolution.
- Act as the primary point of contact for Workday system technical and functional questions.
- Maintain comprehensive system documentation for implementation and maintenance.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Identify process improvement opportunities and propose innovative solutions.
- Stay current with Workday platform updates, new features, and best practices.
- Support modernization and optimization initiatives within Finance Technology.
Required Skill:
- Experience with Workday platform engineering experience
- Experience designing and developing Workday integrations
- Experience working with Workday APIs using REST or SOAP
- Strong understanding of Workday architecture and platform capabilities
Preferred:
- 5+ years of experience with Workday Finance modules:
- General Ledger
- Fixed Assets
- Expenses
- Global Consolidation
- Invoices
- Payments
- Suppliers
- 3+ years of Workday integration development experience
- Workday Integration Developer Certification
- Experience with Workday Extend
- Experience with cloud platforms such as:
- AWS
- Azure
- Google Cloud Platform
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
