Wabtec - Now Hiring Operations Technician
Location: Columbia, SC
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Thursday | 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

- High school diploma or GED required
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools
- Ability to follow written instructions and safety procedures
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently
- Willingness to perform repetitive tasks in a production environment
Key Responsibilities
- Disassemble mechanical components using hand tools and power tools
- Follow detailed work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety protocols
- Clean, wash, and prepare parts using solvents and parts-washing equipment
- Remove debris, dirt, and residue using compressed air and cleaning processes
- Maintain accurate production flow by following scheduled work assignments
- Support 5S workplace organization and maintain a clean, safe work environment
- Operate equipment safely and shut down machinery when not in use
- Maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced production environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations
