Summary

Job Title: Kafka CDC Python Engineer
Location: Columbus, OH (Onsite/Local Preferred)
We are looking for a Kafka CDC Python Engineer with strong experience in building real-time data pipelines and event-driven systems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Kafka ecosystem, CDC tools, and Python-based data integration.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain real-time data pipelines using Kafka
  • Implement and manage CDC (Change Data Capture) solutions
  • Build and optimize Kafka producers, consumers, and connectors using Python
  • Work with Kafka Connect and Schema Registry for scalable data integration
  • Develop and manage workflows using Apache Airflow
  • Integrate data from multiple relational databases into streaming platforms
  • Deploy and manage applications in containerized/cloud environments
  • Troubleshoot performance, scalability, and data consistency issues
Required Skills
  • Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, Kafka Connect, and Schema Registry
  • Experience with CDC tools like Debezium, Oracle GoldenGate, or similar
  • Solid understanding of event-driven architecture & stream processing
  • Strong programming skills in Python (Kafka clients, connectors)
  • Experience with Apache Airflow
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, DB2, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / Google Cloud Platform)
