Job Title: Low Voltage Cable Installation TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Low Voltage Cable Installation Technician is responsible for installing, terminating, testing, and maintaining structured cabling systems in commercial and construction environments. This role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on experience with low-voltage infrastructure, and the ability to work safely and efficiently on active job sites.
Responsibilities- Cable Installation: Pull, route, and manage CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A, and fiber optic cabling through cable trays, racks, conduits, and other pathways.
- Termination & Testing: Terminate copper cabling (patch panels, jacks, punch-downs) and fiber optic connectors (LC, SC); test and certify cabling using Fluke or similar analyzers.
- Infrastructure Build-Out: Install racks, cabinets, ladders, J-hooks, cable trays, and other supporting hardware; perform rack-and-stack for network equipment and wireless access points.
- System Maintenance: Troubleshoot, identify, and repair cabling faults and connectivity issues to ensure network reliability.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow all job-site safety standards, including OSHA and NFPA requirements; safely use ladders, lifts, and hand tools.
- Documentation: Label all cables, ports, and equipment; update documentation and as-built drawings as required.

- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy materials, climb ladders, and work in confined or elevated spaces.
- Certifications: BICSI certifications (or similar) preferred.
Experience Level- Typically 2+ years of hands-on experience in low-voltage or structured cabling environments

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
