Project Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Columbus, OH that is seeking a Project Manager.

Lead Cross-Functional Delivery:
* Own planning and execution for medium-to-large cross-functional initiatives
* Develop integrated project plans that align teams around shared objectives
* Coordinate activities across Product, Engineering, UX, Architecture, QA, Operations, and other business partners
* Ensure projects deliver intended business outcomes-not simply completed tasks

Drive Planning and Execution:
* Translate strategic priorities into actionable delivery plans
* Establish milestones, timelines, dependencies, and success measures
* Monitor project health and proactively address risks before they impact delivery
* Keep initiatives moving forward by identifying and removing obstacles

Build Alignment Across Teams:
* Facilitate communication between technical and business stakeholders
* Lead project meetings, planning sessions, and decision-making discussions
* Surface tradeoffs and recommendations to support informed decisions
* Foster collaboration and accountability across multiple teams

Manage Risk and Change:
* Identify project risks, assumptions, dependencies, and constraints
* Develop mitigation plans and escalate issues when appropriate
* Coordinate organizational readiness activities for significant releases
* Help teams successfully adapt to changing priorities and evolving business needs

Improve Delivery Excellence:
* Promote consistent project management practices across initiatives
* Identify opportunities to improve planning, communication, and execution
* Contribute to continuous improvement of PMO processes, templates, and operating models
* Support a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous learning

REQUIREMENTS:
* 3-7 years of project or program management experience
* Strong project management fundamentals including planning, scheduling, risk management, scope management, and stakeholder communication
* Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives
* Ability to bring structure and clarity to ambiguous situations
* Strong facilitation and relationship-building skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* Experience working in Agile, hybrid, or traditional delivery environments
* Comfortable partnering with engineering teams and understanding technical concepts well enough to manage delivery and dependencies
* Software development experience is not required, but nice to have

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
