RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Entry-Level Chemistry Technician in Corvallis, OR.

Overview:
Are you a recent Chemistry graduate looking to launch your career with a world-class technology company? Our client is seeking a Chemistry Technician to support cutting-edge research, development, and manufacturing activities related to ink technologies and advanced printing systems. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career scientists to gain hands-on laboratory experience, work alongside experienced chemists, and contribute to innovative products used around the world.

What You'll Do:
* Prepare chemical solutions, perform dilutions, and formulate inks using wet chemistry techniques
* Conduct laboratory testing of inks and solutions by filling printer pens and evaluating print performance across various printer platforms
* Perform physical and chemical analyses, including pH, conductivity, viscosity, and other material characterization tests
* Accurately document, analyze, and communicate experimental results
* Assist chemists with research and development experiments and product development activities
* Support troubleshooting, process improvement, and testing initiatives in a fast-paced laboratory environment
* Follow laboratory safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related scientific field
* Strong laboratory skills gained through coursework, internships, research projects, or industry experience
* Experience with solution preparation, chemical handling, and standard laboratory equipment
* Knowledge of analytical testing techniques such as pH; Conductivity; Viscosity; Particle size analysis
* Contact angle measurements
* Ability to accurately collect, analyze, and interpret data
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
* Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
* Hands-on experience with laboratory research or product development projects
* Familiarity with analytical instrumentation such as chromatography or spectroscopy
* Experience with titration, filtration, purification, or other standard laboratory techniques
* Exposure to materials characterization or formulation chemistry
* Technical report writing experience

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
