About the Role - We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with over 6 years of experience to design, build, and optimize data pipelines and data models that drive business insights. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in SQL, Python, data warehousing, and hands-on experience with Snowflake and DBT Cloud.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines using modern cloud data platforms.
  • Implement and optimize data warehouse solutions using Snowflake and DBT.
  • Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver reliable data models.
  • Build and maintain high-quality data documentation and ensure data governance best practices.
  • Monitor and improve the performance, reliability, and efficiency of existing data workflows.
  • Contribute to data architecture and modeling discussions to enhance data platform scalability and performance.

Required Skills:
6+ years of experience in data engineering roles. Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling principles. Deep understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing concepts. Hands-on experience with Snowflake (data warehouse) and DBT (for data quality / data transformation). Snowflake: Proficiency in Snowflake data warehouse including architecture, data warehousing, security, and performance optimization Proven expertise in DBT (Core / Cloud) in 1 or 2 projects : Building modular, maintainable, and reusable DBT models and macros. Managing DBT projects and integrating them with CI/CD pipelines. Writing and scheduling DBT tests for data quality assurance. Implementing environment setups (dev/stage/prod) and version control for DBT projects. Good hands-on experience with data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect, Dagster). Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.Soft Skills:- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities- Excellent communication skills with experience working in consulting or client-facing roles- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality
Education & Certifications:- Bachelors / Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field- AWS DE / Solution architect certifications will be an added advantage- Snowflake certifications (SnowPro Core, Advanced) is a big plus
