Job Description
Deep understanding of SAP EWM processes: This includes inboundoutbound delivery processing, warehouse structure, storage typesbins, and internal warehouse movements.
ABAP Objects and EWM-specific Frameworks: Youll need to be proficient in ABAP Objects (classes, methods, inheritance) and understand the EWM framework (e.g., Post Processing
Framework (PPF), Business Add-Ins (BADIs), and enhancement spots) to customize and extend EWM functionality.
Roles & Responsibilities
Development and Customization: Designing, developing, and implementing custom ABAP programs, enhancements, and modifications within the SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) module to meet specific business requirements. This includes developing reports, interfaces, conversions, and forms (RICEF objects).
Integration: Developing and maintaining interfaces between SAP EWM and other SAP modules (e.g., ECC, S4HANA) or external systems using various integration technologies like RFC, BAPI, IDoc, and Web Services.
Troubleshooting and Support: Providing expert-level support for SAP EWM ABAP issues, including debugging, performance tuning, and resolving complex technical problems to ensure the smooth operation of warehouse processes.
Technical Documentation and Best Practices: Creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation for all developed solutions, adhering to SAP best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines.
Performance Optimization and Upgrades: Optimizing existing ABAP code for performance, participating in system upgrades, and applying support packages to ensure the EWM system remains stable, efficient, and up to date with the latest SAP functionalities.
