Data Scientist - AI & Machine Learning - 67519

One of our clients is looking for Data Scientists - AI & Machine Learning to join their team on a hybrid basis in Columbus, OH.

Pay Rate: $70 - &75

Job Responsibilities

Collaborate with Product Owner to manage the full AI development lifecycle: requirements gathering, data sourcing, model development, PoC demonstrations, risk governance, and production deployment.
Apply automation techniques to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
Develop reusable, scalable AI/ML tools and assets.
Stay current with emerging AI, ML, and cloud technologies and integrate them into workflows and products.
Demonstrate professional ownership, proactively surface risks or blockers, and maintain transparent communication with leadership.

Minimum Required Skills & Experience

Master's or PhD in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or related field
3 5+ years of professional experience in AI, ML, or Data Science
Hands-on experience with Python (preferred) or R, Spark, and modern data science tools
Experience in AWS AI/ML services (Sagemaker, Lambda, S3, Athena, etc.)
Familiarity with Large Language Models (Llama, Claude, Titan) and frameworks such as LangChain, vector databases, embeddings, and prompt engineering

Preferred Skills / Nice-to-Have

Experience with LLM fine-tuning
Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques, multi-vector retrieval, HYDE, and evaluation frameworks
Experience with Agentic AI workflows, multi-agent orchestration, and tool-use agents
Hands-on experience with advanced AWS AI/ML services (Bedrock, JumpStart, Textract, ML orchestration)
Background in financial services preferred
Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills
