Location : Remote
Role Overview - We are seeking a Senior Salesforce Web SDK & Marketing Cloud Personalization (MCP) Implementation Lead to own and scale our web event data layer across digital properties. This role will be responsible for designing and implementing the Web SDK-based tracking architecture that powers customer profiles, real-time personalization, audience activation, and analytics.
This position sits within the Customer Data & MarTech team and works closely with Digital Analytics, Marketing Technology, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure high-quality, scalable data collection and activation.
The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on Web SDK implementation experience, strong JavaScript and tag management knowledge, and expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Personalization or similar CDP-driven ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
- Web SDK Architecture & Implementation
- Design and own the web tracking architecture and event schema powering customer data collection across websites and digital applications.
- Implement and maintain Salesforce Web SDK / Marketing Cloud Personalization (MCP) Web SDK integrations across web platforms.
- Develop scalable JavaScript-based event tracking frameworks using tag management systems or direct SDK implementations.
- Ensure reliable and performant real-time event streaming to customer data platforms.
Customer Data & Personalization Enablement
- Enable real-time personalization and audience activation using Salesforce MCP or similar platforms.
- Align event schemas with customer identity resolution, unified profiles, and behavioral data capture.
- Support onsite personalization, marketing activation, and customer journey orchestration through accurate event instrumentation.
Data Layer & Tracking Governance
- Define and maintain a standardized data layer and tracking plan across digital properties.
- Establish documentation, governance models, and implementation standards for event tracking.
- Ensure adherence to data quality, naming conventions, and scalable event design.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Digital Analytics teams to translate measurement requirements into actionable tracking implementations.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Data Engineering, and CRM teams to align event capture with business use cases.
- Provide technical leadership during digital platform launches, personalization rollouts, and MarTech integrations.
Migration & Platform Modernization
- Lead migration from legacy tracking scripts and fragmented tag implementations to a unified SDK-driven architecture.
- Consolidate redundant integrations into a single scalable Web SDK framework.
Privacy, Consent & Compliance
- Ensure event collection adheres to privacy regulations and consent management frameworks.
- Implement privacy-safe data capture aligned with regional data protection standards and enterprise governance policies.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience implementing enterprise web tracking solutions.
- Strong experience implementing Salesforce Marketing Cloud Personalization (MCP) Web SDK or similar real-time personalization platforms.
- Expertise in JavaScript, data layers, and tag management systems.
- Hands-on experience implementing Web SDKs for CDP or customer data platforms such as:
- Salesforce Web SDK / MCP
- Segment
- Tealium
- Hightouch
- Strong understanding of:
- Identity resolution
- Customer profiles
- Event-based data models
- Real-time personalization architectures
- Experience translating business journeys and marketing use cases into technical tracking plans.
- Excellent cross-functional communication with engineering, marketing, analytics, and data teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing Salesforce Marketing Cloud Personalization (Interaction Studio / MCP).
- Familiarity with Salesforce Data Cloud integration patterns.
- Experience with server-side tagging or event streaming architectures.
- Understanding of customer journey orchestration and marketing automation ecosystems.
