Job Description:
  • The Security Automation Engineer will support the automation of security and access management infrastructure within enterprise IT environments.
  • The role focuses on building and maintaining infrastructure and configuration as code, automating deployments, and enhancing CI/CD pipelines for secure authentication, authorization, and access gateway services.
  • The candidate will collaborate with engineering and security teams to streamline processes, reduce manual operational tasks, and improve system reliability and recovery capabilities.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • Experience with Ansible Tower and automation frameworks.
  • Experience working with GitLab for source control and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong scripting experience using Python and shell scripting.
  • Experience working with Unix or Linux environments.
  • Experience with container platforms such as OpenShift or Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of Identity and Access Management systems.
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with Argo CD and Agile development methodologies.
Experience:
  • Minimum five years of relevant experience in automation engineering, DevOps, or security infrastructure roles.
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code frameworks.
  • Experience automating system deployments and infrastructure operations.
  • Experience supporting secure authentication and access management environments.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain automated deployment processes for access management and security infrastructure.
  • Design and implement infrastructure and configuration as code solutions to automate system deployments.
  • Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines to support secure and efficient application and infrastructure releases.
  • Collaborate with security and engineering teams to automate authentication, authorization, web gateway, and API services.
  • Improve existing automation processes and develop new automated health checks.
  • Integrate monitoring and automated incident creation into security infrastructure environments.
  • Develop automation to support rapid environment rebuilds and disaster recovery scenarios.
  • Reduce manual administrative tasks by implementing automated processes and self healing system capabilities.
  • Integrate automation with change management systems and source control repositories.
  • Work with ServiceNow integration to streamline work intake and operational workflows.
  • Document automation processes and share knowledge with internal teams to support continuous improvement.
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of modern authentication and authorization protocols including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML 2.0, SCIM, and LDAP.
  • Experience working with IBM security products.
  • Experience with SQL and JavaScript.
  • Experience with ServiceNow integration.
  • Experience working with PKI infrastructure.
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.
  • Experience using Ansible Automation Hub, Ansible Galaxy, and artifact repositories such as Nexus.
Skills:
  • Security automation and infrastructure automation.
  • Identity and access management systems.
  • DevOps and CI/CD pipeline development.
  • Container orchestration and cloud infrastructure.
  • Security operations and monitoring automation.
Qualification And Education:
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Master s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience with five or more years in automation or DevSecOps roles.
