Description
We are looking for a Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst to provide hands-on technical support for users at a fully on-site operation in Houston, Texas. This is a Contract position suited for someone who can step in quickly, troubleshoot day-to-day desktop and access issues, and work closely with both IT and operations teams to keep employees productive. The role offers an opportunity to support a fast-paced environment where responsive service, clear communication, and dependable technical knowledge are essential.
Responsibilities:
Deliver on-site desktop and help desk support for end users, resolving hardware, software, and access-related issues in a timely manner.
Troubleshoot Microsoft Windows 10 environments and restore normal system functionality with minimal disruption to daily operations.
Manage service desk requests from intake through resolution, ensuring tickets are properly documented, prioritized, and closed accurately.
Administer basic Active Directory tasks such as account support, password resets, and user access updates.
Work directly with operational staff and IT leadership to address technical needs and maintain continuity across the site.
Set up, configure, and support desktop equipment and user workstations for a smooth on-site experience.
Identify recurring technical problems, escalate when appropriate, and contribute to practical solutions that improve support efficiency.
Assist with operational technology changes or environment updates as assigned, while maintaining strong end-user support throughout the process.
Requirements
Experience providing desktop support or help desk services in an on-site business environment.
Working knowledge of Active Directory for routine user account and access support.
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows 10 and general Microsoft Windows troubleshooting.
Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues involving desktops, user accounts, and standard workplace software.
Experience handling service desk tickets with attention to responsiveness, organization, and documentation quality.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical teams and operational stakeholders.
Availability to work 100% on-site in Houston, Texas.
Ability to contribute effectively in a contract assignment with potential for extension based on business needs.
